Title: You’ve Fallen For Me

AKA: Heartstrings / Festival

A Korean drama about two music students in a university. Lee Gyu Won is a bright and optimistic girl who majors in traditional Korean music. She plays the Gayaguem. Her grandfather, Lee Dong Gun was one of the famous traditional musicians and wants to see her grand-daughter to be a traditional music prodigy. Lee Shin is a vocalist and skilled guitarist of the band “The Stupid” and majoring in modern music. He is snob and cold though he is seen to be as good looking and has the passion for music. The drama also depicts hardwork of students trying to reach their goals.

I love the series! Maybe because of the musical touch of it. I’ve been anticipating for this because I’m a big fan of You’re Beautiful and Minam (Park Shin Hye) and Shin Woo (Yong Hwa) have their own fluffiness. Their team-up is cute. The story is kind of predictable but then I still want to continue to watch because of the nice songs used and the fluffiness. There are just scenes that are unnecessary and have no connection to the plot. And producers/directors should have focus more to the youth just to feel the YOUTHFULNESS of the series since it is for the youth. Oh well, the soundtrack is pleasant to the ear. Casting is not bad too.

Park Shin Hye as Lee Gyu Won. She loves playing the traditional instrument however she can’t help to be drawn to modern music (where Lee Shin belongs). I notice how traditional her clothes too in every episode such as long skirts. Teehee! Park Shin Hye fits this kind of character, she portrayed it well.

Jung Yong Hwa as Lee Shin. He is known for his good looks, cold personality and strong passion for music. His talents here are overflowing; his voice when he sings, his skills in playing the guitar and his acting. Good for him (^__^)

So Yi Hyun as Professor Jung Yoon Soo, who is a dance instructor in the university. Lee Shin’s first love (?). But then Yoon Soo said it wasn’t love. (Just watch the series, so you’ll know what teacher Yoon Soo explained).

Song Chang Ui as Kim Suk Hyun, the director and who believes big in Lee Gyu Won’s talent. Also Yoon Soo’s love.

Kang Min Hyuk as Joon Hee and Woo Ri as Jung Yoon Hee. The drummer, food addict, impulsive dude and the bratty, perfectionist, high maintance girl. At first, I don’t like their tandem but in the later episodes I find a lot of fluffiness, especially Joon Hee’s way of showing his affection to Yoon Hee. ♥

Lee Hyun Jin as Hyun Ki Young. The character that I wish the producer/director developed more. The face, the voice is so beautiful. ugh!

The drama does not have an impact that will leave an impression. However, there’s something we can get from it. Like learning to value friendship; if you have a goal, then you’ll have to do your best to reach it. There are some good points such as the battle between traditional and modern music; the fusion of traditional and modern music and the play. Overall, it’s an OKAY for me. (^o^)
